FALL

TIME TO AUDIT YOUR WARDROBE AS YOU WELCOME THE arrivAL OF SWEATER WEATHER.

Wardrobe audits are best done at the beginning of the fall!

It is the best way to sort through the minefield that is your wardrobe.

Cindy Newstead of Style With Cindy noted, “Going through your wardrobe is something women find difficult on their own. Why? We attach emotion to clothing, from past experiences to the guilt of spending, to how we feel about ourselves in these pieces when we look in the mirror - it can be confronting.”

Here are some tips on how to begin your wardrobe audit.

  • Sort everything! Go through your closet and sort your clothes into piles. Year Round, Next Season, Keep for the Current Season, Maybe, and Donate.

  • Go through your ‘Maybe’ pile. Get a box, basket or bin and store them. Give yourself a time limit, one month or two months. If they make it into an outfit during that time, keep them. If not, donate them.

  • Drop off the ‘Donate’ pile. Bring to your nearest thrift store or shelter to donate your unwanted clothing.

Happy wardrobe auditing, friends! :)
